Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

Ever heard of Stephen Hawking? He was a world-renowned scientist with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, more commonly known as ALS or Lou Gherig’s disease. ALS is a progressive neurological disorder that affects nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain, resulting in loss of voluntary and involuntary muscle control.
