Autism
Approximately 1 in 160 children across the globe has some kind of an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and some experts believe that number may be even higher. ASDs include a wide variety of life-long conditions that may impact a person’s social, emotional, behavioral, and communication skills that typically begin displaying characteristics in early childhood. The Arc/proAbility Daily Meetings
-All the folks in Day Program in our RI office proAbility are getting together daily. They are doing a variety of groups daily. They first meet in one large group and then branch off into a group of their choosing. (There are usually 3 meetings a day to offer) Here are some of the groups they have done so far and will continue to do:
Let's Talk, Daily Basics: Reading Skills, World History, Math Games, Music, Movies, Health, Safety and Boundaries, Handling & Dealing with Covid-19 (ways to cope), Social Skills Groups, Zumba, Yoga, How To Work Towards Meaningful Employment,
They are also adding some fun in the Daily Evening groups at 4:30:
Trivia, Name That Tune, Jeopardy, Hangman.
