Being blind is often thought of as the complete inability for someone to see, but that only makes up a small percentage of the 285 million people across the globe with visual impairments. Generally speaking, someone with a visual acuity of 20/400 even with the best-corrected vision, is considered blind. The Business of Blindness: Call with Mike Cole
-What does it really mean to be blind or low vision? Mike Cole, a veteran of all things blindness, will lead this call-in forum to discuss the many day-to-day ins-and-outs of blindness from daily living in your home environment to navigating the vast expanse of bureaucracies. There's always a lively crowd sharing their own experiences, so make a cup of coffee (or tea), sit in your favorite chair and call in to chat the business of blindness.

Seniors Program: Chair Exercises, In-Person in Chicago & Call-In
-This program will take place at our Chicago office for those seniors who would like to attend & are fully-vaccinated. As an alternative, seniors can participate over-the-phone.

CALL-IN INSTRUCTIONS: After you RSVP for any/all programs that you’d like to participate in, here’s how to call into each of the programs – we will use the same call-in number for all programs: To join any of the programs, dial 872-242-7995. It will then ask for you to enter the Conference ID: 737 107 407 followed by #. You will then be admitted into the program.
Join us for fun and energetic chair exercise classes focusing on increasing your strength and supporting your mobility. Whether you’re an avid exerciser or a bit of a couch potato, all levels are welcome. Let’s stay active together. Before participating, please make sure you have a stable and sturdy chair with you for exercising.

Stress Reduction & Meditation
-Each Wednesday morning we offer a series of short, meditation-based practices for relaxation and stress reduction. The group is appropriate for both beginners and advanced practitioners and instruction is provided in all aspects of the practice. Instructor Jeffrey Schneider has more than 40 years of meditation and teaching experience. It is a virtual class using the Zoom platform everyone is welcome as little or often as they like.
